At inatura and a walk in the alps

On Thursday we went to inatura, a natural science museum in Dornbirn some 400 metres walk from the house. We spent quite some time there—it's bigger than one thinks.

The two hamsters were able to prove that they would be able to generate enough electricity to power a (low-power) light bulb.

On Friday we had a lazy morning but the kids went cycling around inatura's grounds again with Gomutti. We had a bummel in Dornbirn and I bought some fermented sauerkraut juice to try.

It's potent and bacteria-laden (a good thing) but I liked it!

After a quick lunch we picked up Granddad at Rieger and drove off to Wendelin and Waltraud's house in Hittisau in the alps. From there we set off on another short drive and a lovely walk in the alps in some of the areas where cows spend the summer months.

Scenic stuff

Most cows are home already for the winter (the grand homecoming is what we saw last weekend).

Afterwards we had coffee, cake and a light supper with Wendelin and Waltraud and their family.
